A shifting "gem" game
There is an over saturation of games that try to put something new into the "match 3 gems and earn points" games. The problem comes when there are so few original ideas left to create a game with.
Magic Crystal is a variation on the game type that I have seen elsewhere first. That being said the game has a very similar charm. The difficulty gets a good twist a few levels in, but not to the extent where younger children would be unable to understand what to do.
Each level is unclear about when you can stop playing that level, because of the first two levels are so easy I purposely ended early because of boredom. The next level unlocks at an unknown score. It might be different for each level.
The game controls really well, the concept might not be new, but the presentation is good overall.
If you think you will like this game, you will. If you hate puzzle games, this won't change your mind.
